There Is A Real Danger Of Civil War In “Israel,” Bennett Says

The opposition leader, Yair Lapid, also confirmed that “Tel Aviv” is on the brink of the abyss and is heading towards ruin if the judicial reform law is approved.

There is a real danger of civil war in “Israel”, declared the former prime minister of the Zionist entity, Naftali Bennett, in an interview with Channel 12.

In the politician’s opinion, the occupation government and the opposition should sit down to negotiate the law on judicial amendments proposed by Justice Minister Yariv Levin.

Many things need to be fixed, but not to alter the scenario from one extreme to another. The majority want reforms, not regime change, he added.

Bennett also warned about the real fear of coming to a civil war for nothing.

The opposition leader Yair Lapid also warned about it. In his opinion, “Israel” is on the brink of the abyss and is headed for ruin if the judicial reform law is passed. “This would be a fatal and irreparable blow,” he stated.

According to Knesset member Avigdor Lieberman, the Netanyahu government and the leader of the Shas movement, Aryeh Deri, are in danger. Both work to save themselves from their judicial problems by passing laws to the detriment of the Supreme Court.

For Ami Elon, former head of the Shin Bet, he warned Netanyahu of a violent reality and of the non-existence of opportunities for dialogue.

The attacks against the reform of the judicial system increased after the approval on Monday of two articles of this plan in the first parliamentary reading.

The procedure is aimed at full government control over the appointment of judges, including to the Supreme Court, and also severely restricts the Supreme Court’s ability to strike down legislation.
