Actress and model Kim Porter and mother of three children of rapper Diddy died Thursday in California at age 47.
Kim was dating the American rapper for periods between 1994 and 2007 and they had three children: the twins Jessie James and D’Lila, 11, and Christian, 20. She also leaves a 27-year-old son, Quincy, from a marriage previous.
Kim Porter was found unconscious in her home and declared dead shortly after in that same place, according to the authorities. “At this moment, we are pending the autopsy and the cause of death has not been determined,” explains the statement issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
At the moment the causes of death have not been clarified, although the American media speak of a heart problem. In addition, Porter had suffered pneumonia the past few weeks. Apparently, the model had contacted her doctor on Wednesday to explain that she was in a bad way. His family notified the authorities on Thursday morning to check that he did not answer their calls. According to TMZ, no drugs were found in the house, although an autopsy and several toxicological tests will be performed.
The actress worked in films like The Brothers (2001) and in the American program Wicked Wicked Games. A few days ago, he published an Instagram photograph of Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, along with his family and a word: “Love.” He also sent a birthday message to Diddy recently, which said: “Thank you for giving me the best gifts of my life: our children.”
Sources close to Diddy Combs say he is “devastated and in shock” by the death of his partner for more than a decade. “He and Kim were close friends and took care of their children together even though their love relationship had not worked,” explain those sources who say that “they were a family.”
Outstanding personalities from the entertainment world such as Rihanna, 50 Cent and Missy Elliot paid tribute to him on social networks. Other outstanding figures who remembered the model and actress were Viola Davis and Kevin Hart.
“We lost an important (person) today, beautiful inside and out, many will be affected (by his death), some will not even know why … but the whole world was graced by the liveliness of your spirit”, wrote Rihanna.
